Lyricist Kausar Ahmed Chaudhury dies

Celebrated astrologer and lyricist Kausar Ahmed Chaudhury, who was undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a private hospital in Dhaka, passed away on Tuesday night.
He breathed his last at 9:45 pm, his son Pratik Choudhury confirmed the matter to the media.
He was suffering from various health complications, including kidney problems. He was recently diagnosed with Covid-19. He previously also suffered a stroke.
Kausar Ahmed Chaudhury has been a household figure in Bangladesh for decades for his regular horoscope readings on Ajker Rashi at Prothom Alo.
He has written many timeless songs for some of Bangladesh's most iconic musicians, including LRB, Miles, Samina Chowdhury, Lucky Akhand, Shakila Smriti, Niaz Mohammad Chowdhury, amongst many others.
