‘Chhutir Ghonta’ film director Azizur passes away

Legendary film director Azizur Rahman passed away in Toronto, Canada on Monday night.
He breathed his last around 11:30pmBangladesh time, Gazi Sarfaraz Anwar Upal, son of renowned filmmaker and lyricist Gazi Mazharul Anwar, confirmed the information to Dhaka Prokash.
He said, “Director Azizur Rahman's daughter Alia Rahman Bindi told me the news. Her father died in Toronto, Canada, around 11:30 pm Bangladesh time on Monday.”
Azizur Rahman first worked as an assistant to director Ehtesham in 1958 for the film "Ee Desh Tomar Amar". His first film 'Saiful Mulok Badiuzzaman' was released in 1967.
Chhutir Ghonta, Ashikkhito, Matir Ghor, Janata Express, Sampanwala, Daktar Bari, Gormil, and Samadhan are among the 58 films he directed.
