31 die of Covid-19, fresh cases 13,501 in 24 hours

A total of 31 people died Covid-19 and 13,501 new infections were recorded in 24 hours till 8:00am Monday, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The current positivity rate is 29.77 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 14.42 percent, the press release added.
The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country now stands at 28,394 and the mortality rate at 1.58 percent. Meanwhile, the total number of cases rose to 17,98,833, added the release.
A total of 45,358 samples were tested across the country in the 24 hours. At least 2,568 patients have recovered from Covid-19 during the period.
The total number of recoveries now stands at 15,68,213 and the recovery rate at 87.18 percent, added the release.
Of the 31 deceased, 20 were male and 11 were female. Of them, one was between 11-20 years old, two were between 21-30, one was within 31-40, two were between 41-50, five were between 51-60, five were between 61-70, seven were within 71-80, six between 81-90, and two were within 91-100 years old, the news release added.
