10 deaths from Covid, 1,516 fresh cases 24 hrs

Bangladesh reported 1,516 Covid-19 cases and 10 more deaths linked it in 24 hours till Thursday morning, Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in its routine daily statement.
"The country reported 5.53 percent Covid-19 positive cases as 27,434 samples were tested in the past 24 hours.
In the past 24 hours, the combined figure of coronavirus in Dhaka city and upazilas of the district is 960 while two Covid-19 deaths were reported during the period.
The official tally showed that the virus killed 29,005 people and infected 19,39,651 so far, the statement added.
The recovery count rose to 17,86,146 after another 6,459 patients were discharged from the hospitals during the past one day.
