5 more deaths from Covid, 657 fresh cases detected 24 hrs

Bangladesh reported 657 Covid-19 cases and five more deaths linked it in the past 24 hours till Thursday morning, Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in its routine daily statement.
"The country reported 2.91 percent Covid-19 positive cases as 22,584 samples were tested in the past 24 hours.
In the past 24 hours, the combined figure of coronavirus in Dhaka city and upazilas of the district is 382 while three Covid-19 deaths were reported during the period.
The official tally showed that the virus killed 29,058 people and infected 19,45,765 so far, the statement added.
The recovery count rose to 18,31,577 after another 4,628 patients were discharged from the hospitals during the past one day.
