15 die of Covid-19, fresh cases 14,828 in 24 hours

A total of 15 people died from Covid-19 and 14,828 new infections were recorded in 24 hours till 8:00 on Monday, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The current positivity rate is 32.37 percent while the total positivity rate stood at 13.98 percent, the news releases added.
The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country now stands at 28,238 and the mortality rate stands at 1.66 percent. Meanwhile, the total number of cases rose to 16,99,964, added the release.
It added that some 45,807 samples were tested across the country in the 24 hours. At least 998 patients have recovered from Covid-19 during the period.
The total number of recoveries now stands at 15,57,859 and the recovery rate at 91.64 percent, added the release.
Of the 15 deceased, nine were male and six female, the press release added.
