Putin greets President, PM on Independence Day

Russian President Vladimir Putin has greeted President Md Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on the occasion of Independence Day of Bangladesh.
Putin emphasised that the relations between Russia and Bangladesh are based on the good traditions of friendship and mutual respect, according to a statement of the Russian Embassy in Dhaka.
He expressed confidence that through joint efforts the governments of the two countries will ensure further development of constructive bilateral cooperation in political, trade, economic, humanitarian and other spheres.
This cooperation undoubtedly, meets the interests of their people, goes in line with the promotion of regional stability and security, the statement added.
Putin also wished President Hamid and Prime Minister Hasina sound health and success, as well as happiness and prosperity to all citizens of Bangladesh.
