Russia is ready to discuss any issues with the US but does not see Washington being ready for dialogue, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov told Channel One on Thursday, reports TASS.
"We are open to discussing any issues. Following the onset of the special military operation, the Americans cut off all communication channels with the exception of two-three issues, from among the so-called 'irritants.' <...> Unfortunately, we are not registering any readiness to hold dialogue on their part," he said.
The diplomatic activity between Russia and the US that used to exist, is necessary, as well as the discussion of security issues, despite the presence of certain dialogue forms, the diplomat added. "This is not a dialogue as involvement, this is an exchange of views, reminders on where we stand. But this is not the diplomatic activity, which existed earlier, and which is basically needed. <...> We should speak about security, about strategic stability, we should discuss how we are going to live further on," he explained.
