Court summons Fakhrul in anarchy case

A court here has summoned three BNP leaders including its secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir in a case lodged for carrying out anarchy during the 2018 student movement demanding safe road.
The other two accused are senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi and its standing committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, reports BSS.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Asheq Imam on Thursday passed the order, asking the three accused to appear before the court on July 14.
Confirming the matter to BSS, bench officer Mizanur Rahman said the court came up with the order, taking into cognizance a report filed by the investigation officer.
Jananetri Parishad president AB Siddique filed the case on August 6, 2018, for carrying out anarchy by infiltrating the Nirapod Sarak movement of the students.
