A case has been filed against Nurul Haque Nur, former Ducsu VP and leader of Bangladesh Gono Odhikar Parishad, for making ‘derogatory comment’ about Deputy Minister for Education Mohibul Hassan Chowdhoury Nowfel.

Advocate Shahriar Yeasin Arafat Tanim, a former Chhatra League leader of Chittagong University, filed the case under the Digital Security Act (DSA) with Chattogram Cyber Tribunal on Tuesday, said Advocate Ibrahim Hossain Chowdhury, reports UNB.

Chattogram Cyber Tribunal Judge Zahirul Kabir took the case into cognisance and asked the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for further investigation.

According to the case statement, Nurul made indecent comment about the deputy minister at a programme of Chhatra Jubo Odhikar Parishad in Dhaka on June 1.

He also made derogatory remarks about Chhatra League while in a Facebook live.
