HC deletes ex-DIG Mizan's bail plea from cause list

The High Court (HC) today refused to allow bail to suspended deputy inspector general (DIG) of police Mizanur Rahman in a graft case as it deleted the matter from its cause list.
A High Court division bench of Justice Md Mostafizur Rahman and Justice Md Ali Reza deleted the matter as it came up on number 39 on today's cause list.
Advocate Shah Manjurul Haque appeared for the suspended DIG, while senior Advocate Khurshid Alam Khan stood for the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) today, reports BSS.
The ACC on June 24, 2019, filed the case against Mizanur Rahman, his wife Sohelia Anar Rotna and nephew Mahmudul Hasan for amassing illegal wealth of Taka three crore.
