5 Detox Drink Recipes
The ingredients used in detox drinks add greatly to the benefits of normal drinking water. Add some of these detox drinks to your diet, to stay hydrated this season.
1. Mint Cucumber Detox Drink
If you want to add something refreshing to your drink, then mint is the answer. Cucumbers are said to be made up of 95% water, which makes them best for staying hydrated during the summers. Not only that, but cucumbers also regulate blood sugar and help in weight loss besides making sure that you always feel fresh wherever you go.
To make this simple drink, take 3 glasses of water in a pitcher, add in sliced cucumber, and half the juice of lemon while slicing the other half to put them inside the pitcher along with a bunch of mint leaves. Ensure that you refrigerate the pitcher for at least 2-3 hours before carrying your detox drink in an insulated tumbler throughout the day.
2. Ginger Litchi Lemonade
Ginger helps relieve you from body aches, fights inflammation, and is excellent if you are one of those with a sore throat on a random sunny day. And what better than combining the health benefits of ginger with some juicy litchi which makes sure that your skin remains hydrated and balances all the necessary oils in it.
Take some ginger, litchi, and lemon juice and blend them with a pinch of salt or sugar as per your preference. Once done, pour your drink into a glass and enjoy every sip of it. You can also add some fresh mint leaves and some chia seeds while pouring this drink into your glass, to get the best out of your daily summer detox drink.
3. Green Juice
Green Juice sounds intimidating, but once you get to know the benefits and develop a habit of having a glass full of this potent detoxifier empty stomach every morning, you would start appreciating it.
To prepare this appetizing drink, add some orange juice, spinach, Romanian lettuce, mint, parsley, and cucumbers in a blender to your potent summer detoxifier. Starting your day with a glass full of this juice can help you lose weight, improve digestion, and most importantly, detoxify the kidneys.
4. Water with Apple Cider Vinegar
We have all heard the old adage, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away”. Drinking apple cider vinegar in its raw, unrefined form can help you detoxify, lose extra kilos, and improve colon health and heartburn.
To prepare this drink, take warm water, apple cider vinegar, cinnamon, and lemon juice and throw them in a pitcher with some raw honey. Stir well until you receive a smooth liquid. You can also add a few ice cubes and carry the drink in your bottle and take a sip throughout the day to stay hydrated.
5. Aam Panna
Summers are incomplete without relishing the tangy mangoes or eating them in multiple curries and drinks. Aam Panna is one such drink that you can have if the scorching heat takes a toll on your body.
To prepare this drink, get some raw green mangoes which are mostly available in markets when the summer starts kicking in. Start by boiling these mangoes until they are soft and tender, then remove the skin and take the pulp out of them. After that, get a blender and add some black salt, cumin seeds, fresh mint leaves along with some sugar. Add the pulp into the blender along with some water, and your Aam Panna is ready!
