Mostofa Kamal, including 30 eminent persons get Samresh Basu Literary Award

The 'Samresh Basu Literary Award-2022' have received to 30 eminent person including eminent fiction writer and editor-in-chief of Dhaka Prokash Mostafa Kamal. Mostofa Kamal was awarded the prize for his historical novel, 1975.

The award was given at the Zahur Hossain Chowdhury Auditorium of the National Press Club on Friday (February 11). The event was organized by Bishal Bangla Prakashani. Former Information Secretary and BTRC Chairman Syed Margub Morshed chaired the function.

Media partners were satellite television channel ATN Bangla and Asian TV and multimedia news portal Dhaka Prakash.

In an immediate response after receiving the award, Mostofa Kamal said, "I am really grateful. I am especially grateful to Shahidul Haque Khan who is a very respectable and beloved person like my elder brother. This award will inspire me to write.

Other recipients of the award are renowned vocalist Syed Abdul Hadi, and Fakir Alamgir (posthumous), playwright M. Hamid, Manjur-ul Alam Chowdhury, Shahjahan Chowdhury, Laila Nazneen Harun, Abdus Samad Farooq, Jamiur Rahman Lemon, Hasnat Lokman, Dr. Shahadat Hossain Nipu, Mahbub Aziz, A. K. Baki Billah, Golam Kibria, Ali Niyamt, Muhammad Mohiuddin, Tashiq Ahmed, Dr. Md. Alamgir Alam, Suraiya Alamgir, Rajendra Chandra Dev Montu, Ratan Chandra Balo, Nazmul Khan, Farhana Ahmed Polly, Mujtaba Saud, Rezanur Rahman, Gazi Farooq, Dr. Khalilur Rahman Sarkar, Dilip Kumar Agarwal, Shahidul Islam Biju and Sohanur Rahman Sohan.
