8 Bangladeshi murder in 'Ozone Park' center of crime in New York

The Ozone Park' area inhabited by Bangladeshis has become the center of crime in New York, USA. The miscreants have so far killed about 8 Bangladeshis in this Ozone park area. The first Bangladeshi named Ahad Ali was killed in Ozan Park in the 90's and the last murder took place on Wednesday 9 January. Extreme panic is prevailing among the expatriate Bangladeshis in New York over these incidents.
Modassar Khandaker 36, an expatriate Bangladeshi was shot dead by gunmen on Forbel Street near Glenmore Avenue in the Ozone park area on the border between Queens and Brooklyn on Wednesday night.
According to police sources Modassar who was shot by gunmen was rushed to a local Jamaica hospital where doctors pronounced him dead shortly afterwards. A local neighbor says such violent crimes occur regularly in New York. Authorities in the 75th police district have launched an investigation into the incident, but no arrests have been made so far Brooklyn police said.
Modassar parked a Honda CVR car near his home on the way home from work at the John F. Kennedy International Airport. An unidentified gunmen wants his car keys. He denied to give him car keys. He turned his shotgun on him. When apprehended by a police officer on the porch of the house where the shootings took place. He was later taken to a Jamaica hospital by ambulance, where doctors pronounced him dead. The deceased was identified as Khandaker Modassar of Manikganj. He was living with his mother, wife and 4-year-old child at 200 Farbel Street in Ozone Park.
On August 13, 2016 Imam Alauddin Akanji and Muazzin Tara Uddin Mia were returning home together after the Zohar prayers at Al Furkan Jame Mosque on Glenmore Avenue in Ozone Park area when an unidentified miscreant opened fire. Imam of the local mosque Alauddin Akanji was killed on the spot. His muezzin Tara Uddin Mia died at the hospital in critical condition.
Two years ago, in 2014, three blocks away, black miscreants suffocated and killed Nazmul Islam, the former vice-president of the United States Awami League, after being hit by a sharp weapon. Two other Bangladeshis were also killed in the Ozan Park area. They are Shibli and Saad Uddin. Bangladeshis started settling in Ozone Park area from the eighties. At that time there were more people from Sylhet region in Ozone Park. From the nineties onwards a large number of Bangladeshis from all over the region started living in Ozone park.
