Pori files no-confidence petition against probe report

Pori Moni has filed a no-confidence petition against the investigation report submitted by Savar police in an attempted rape and murder case filed by the actress.
While submitting the prayer with the nine Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunals Dhaka today, Pori Moni claimed that Savar police did not investigate the matter properly.
Judge Md Hemayet Uddin of the tribunal recorded her statement and is set to pass an order on the issue later in the day.
Earlier in the day, the same tribunal issued bail to Uttara Club Limited's former president Nasir U Mahmud and his associate Tuhin Siddiqui Omi after they surrendered before it and sought bail in the case.
In her petition, Pori Moni said: “Criminal Investigation Department has picked up a waiter who was not included in the charge sheet. Moreover, one Bonni, who was present during the incident, was not made the witness.”
“The tribunal should consider my prayer and I am praying for further investigation into the case,” she added.
