Jamal Uddin, father of the the 22-year-old college student Samia Afrin Prity who was shot dead by miscreants in Shajahanpur’s Amtola Mosque area in the capital city on Thursday night, said, “Where I seek for justice? There is no justice here.”

Deceased Prity's father Jamal Uddin was talking to Dhaka Prokash in front of the morgue at Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Friday noon.

Asked if he would file a case in the incident, Jamal Uddin said, "I will not go to any case. If anyone wants to help, they can. My family situation is not very good. Besides, I don't want to be an enemy in local politics by filing lawsuits. What do I do with a lawsuit? My daughter will never come back. I left the judgment to Allah.

Prity was one of the two persons shot dead by miscreants Shajahanpur’s Amtola Mosque area in the capital city at around 10:15 on Thursday night.

The other person was identified as Zahidul Islam aka Tipu, 58, former general secretary of Awami League’s Motijheel unit. Prity was on a rickshaw stuck in a traffic jam at the time of shooting. The driver of Zahidul’s microbus was also shot in the incident.

Prity's father said, one of my sons Sohaib Jamal Sami is an SSC candidate And Prity was an HSC candidate from Badrunnesa College. She was very good in education. But in an accident he stopped studying.
