3 Jamaat leaders held in Barguna

Police arrested Three Jamaat-e-Islami local leaders in Sadar upzila of Barguna today. They were holding a secret meeting at a house.
The arrested are Barguna District Jamaat-e-Islami General Secretary Md Afzalur Rahman Shaheen, its Barguna Municipality General Secretary Md Zahirul Haque and Betagi Upazila President Md Rafiqul Islam, said Sadar Police Station OC Ali Ahmed, reports our Barguna correspondent.
Acting on a tip-off that a group of seven to ten Jamaat leaders and activists were holding a secret meeting at the house of Jamaat leader Afzalur Rahman in Khajurtola area in a bid to carry out sabotage mission, a team of National Security Intelligence (NSI) raided the house this noon, said the OC.
During the drive, the team detained the three Jamaat leaders while others managed to flee the scene, he said.
