Gold prices drop by Tk 2,916 per bhori

Gold prices have been dropped by Tk 2,916 per bhori in local market on Thursday thanks to a fall in its global rates.
The price of gold fell by Tk 2,916 a bhori and now each bhori of 22-carat gold will cost Tk 79,548, down from Tk 82,464. Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (BAJUS) shared the information in a press release.
Bajus fixed the new price of gold a meeting held on Thursday (May 26) after the fall in gold prices in the global market and decline in prices of foreign currencies including US dollar.
The revised prices will be effective from Friday, said a Bajus.
The price of 22-carat gold per bhori will now stand at Tk 79,548, which was Tk 82,464 earlier.
