Bangladesh is observing one-day state mourning today at the death of a 'real friend', former prime minister of Japan Shinzo Abe, who was shot at a political campaign event in Japan on Friday. The Cabinet Division issued a notification in this regard on Friday.

On the death of Shinzo Abe, the national flag has been hoisted at half-mast in all government and semi-government and autonomous institutions and educational institutions of Bangladesh, including all government and private buildings and Bangladesh missions abroad, reports BSS.

Special prayers are being offered seeking salvation of the departed soul of the former premier of Japan.
