Three killed in Gazipur road crash

Three people were killed and a child was injured as a motorcycle was rammed by a private car at Konabari in Gazipur city on Friday.
The deceased are Raju Mia, 30, who was in the car, motorcyclist Shaheen, 32, and his friend Shamim, 31. Both Shaheen and Shamim were garment workers.
A three-year-old kid was severely injured in the crash and sent to hospital. The car and the motor bike were badly damaged, police said.
Konabari police station OC Abu Bakar Siddique said Shaheen and Shamim had died on the spot, while some people in the car, including Raju and his two-year-old daughter Raisa, had sustained injuries.
Locals took them to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital, where the doctor on duty declared Raju dead.
