Sexual harassment in CU: 4 students suspended for one year

Chattogram University (CU) authorities on Monday suspended its four students for one year for their alleged involvement in the sexual harassment of two female students in September 2021.
The students are – Md Junaid of the Arabic department (2nd year), Rubel Hasan of the Islamic history and culture department (2nd year), and Emon Ahmed and RH Raju of the philosophy department (2nd year).
Chattogram University acting registrar SM Manirul Hasan disclosed the matter during a press briefing held at the conference room of VC today.
Two female students of the Communication and Journalism Department were allegedly sexually assaulted in front of CU Central Mosque on September 16, 2021.
