Newly-appointed HC judges pay homage to Bangabandhu

Eleven newly-appointed additional judges of the High Court (HC) today paid homage to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing wreath at his portrait at 32 Dhanmondi here, Supreme Court Spokesperson Mohammad Saifur Rahman told BSS.
Later, they offered fateha and a special munajat seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of Bangabandhu and his martyred family members.
Earlier on Friday, the additional judges paid tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's grave at Tungipara in Gopalganj.
On July 31, 11 newly appointed additional judges in the High Court Division of the Supreme Court took oath. Chief Justice Hasan Faiz Siddiqui administered the oath to them.
The President appointed them on that day. The Ministry of Law issued recruitment notification at order of the President.
The newly appointed additional judges are: PRL District and Sessions Judge Shaukat Ali Chowdhury, District and Sessions Judge Atabullah, Deputy Attorney General Biswajit Debnath, Deputy Attorney General Aminul Islam, Advocate Ali Reza, Supreme Court Registrar General Bazlur Rahman, Metropolitan Sessions Judge KM Imrul Kayesh, Tangail District Judge Fahmida Quader, Deputy Attorney General Bashir Ullah, Supreme Court Advocate SM Masud Hossain Dolan and Supreme Court Advocate AKM Rabiul Hasan.
