3 brokers of passport office detained after publication of news in Dhaka Prokash

The police have arrested three members of the brokers gang after multiple news were published in Dhaka Prokash about various irregularities in the passport office. Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Sher-e-bangla Nagar police station arrested them by conducting a special operation on Wednesday (August 24).

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sher-e-bangla Nagar Police Station, Utpal Barua, confirmed this information to Dhaka Prokash on Thursday (August 25).

According to a source of the passport office, a series of news were published in Dhaka Prokash about the brokers. Then based on these news, passport office authorities and Sher-e-bangla Thana police launched an operation to catch the members of the named broker gang. The police arrested 3 members of the broker gang in the operation.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sher-e-bangla Nagar police station Utpal Barua told Dhaka Prokash that three members of the broker gang were arrested on Wednesday in a special operation of the police station. The arrested have been handed over to the court.

He also said that all those arrested are members of broker gang. There have been allegations that they have been cheating people by embezzling money in various ways. They admitted the fraud.
