WASA MD Taksim A Khan not allowed to attend office from US

Dhaka WASA Managing Director (MD) Taksim A Khan did not get permission to perform his duties virtually from United States. The government granted a six-week leave to Taqsem A Khan to travel to the US.
However, he didn't get the permission to perform his duties virtually from there. In his absence, deputy managing director (operation and maintenance) of the authorities, AKM Shahid Uddin, will discharge duties as MD.
A letter was issued on Wednesday from the water supply wing of the local government ministry in this regard.
It read Taqsem has been allowed to go to the United States for his treatment and to meet the family living there. He is permitted to stay in the US from 24 September to 4 November or for six weeks starting from the journey date.
Deputy MD AKM Shahid Uddin will discharge the duties of MD in his absence.
Engineer Taksim A Khan, who was appointed as the MD of Dhaka Wasa in 2009, has been in charge for more than a era, increasing his time step by step.
According to WASA source, this is the first time he is leaving the country by handing over the duties of MD to another. Before that he would discharge his duties online while staying abroad.
