Polling ends in 1007 unions, 10 municipalities

Voting in 10 municipalities and 1007 Union Parishads (UP) has ended.
Earlier, the elections began at 8:00am and continued till 4:00pm without any interval.
This time, the polling continued using electronic voting machines (EVMs) in 33 UPs.
In the third phase of the elections, a total of 100 candidates have elected chairmen unopposed. They all are backed by the ruling party, Awami League. A total of 72 aspirants have elected chairmen unopposed during the first phase of the poll while 81 in the second phase.
The fourth phase of the elections will be held on December 23 while the fifth on January 5.
