GD filed against wild elephants in Chattogram

A local farmer has filed complaint against wild elephants in Chattogram for eating paddy and destroying crops.
Nipul Kumar Sen, of Jaistpura village in Boalkhali upazila of Chattogram, filed the general dairy (GD) with Boalkhali police station against the elephants on Saturday.
Boalkhali OC Abdul Karim said: “We have received the complaint and the matter is under observation.”
According to the farmer, 2-3 wild elephants broke into his paddy store (gola) and destroyed 1.5 tons of
paddy worth Tk45 thousand around 4am on Tuesday.
