Jatiya Party mayoral candidate Mustafizar Rahman Mostafa said the problem of Electronic Voting Machines-EVMs is evident today.
He made such remarks while coming to vote in the Rangpur City Corporation elections on Tuesday.
He said that he went to the polling station and saw that the EVM was hanging. If this is the condition of EVMs, how will people vote? We asked to keep the EVM working from the beginning, but the Returning Officer did not listen. The problem with this machine is proven today, he added.
Before that, Mostafizar Rahman Mostafa had to wait 30 minutes for casting his vote through electronic voting machine (EVM).
The Jatiya Party leader went to Alamnagar Collegepara Government Primary School centre at 8:50am on Tuesday to cast his vote. But he had to wait there for 30 minutes due to a glitch in the EVM.
