74 Dengue patients hospitalised in 24 hours

A total of 74 patients were hospitalized with Dengue fever in the last 24 hours till 8:00 am today.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), of the patients, 13 are from outside of the capital.
With the new cases, a total of 3,423 were diagnosed with Dengue this month while 27,078 infected this year. Of the total infected, only 4,166 are from outside the capital.
At least 5,458 patients were hospitalised in October, 7,841 September, 7,698 in August, 2,286 in July, 272 in June while 43 were infected in May and the rest are from January to April, says the DGHS officials.
As far 98 people have died of dengue infection in the country this year. Of them, 12 died in July while 34 died in August, 23 in September, 22 in October and seven in November.
Of the deaths, 90 in the Dhaka division, two each in Chattogram, Khulna and Mymensingh divisions and one each in Rajshahi and Barishal divisions.
