BRAC University's School of General Education on Wednesday celebrates International Women's Day 2023 at the Residential Semester in Savar in solidarity with the United Nations theme “DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality" and the day’s campaign theme #EmbraceEquity.

Each year, March 8 is observed as International Women’s Day to celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women from all around the world. The day also focuses on a call to action for accelerating gender parity and setting agendas and goals in achieving these targets.

This year, faculty members, students and administrative staffs celebrated this day in the Murchhona Premise. GenEd embraces equity to forge harmony and unity, and to help drive success for all BRAC University students.

The main focus of this celebration is to acknowledge and appreciate the contributions women and girls are making to science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). GenEd has taken part in the #EmbraceEquity campaign to show its support worldwide
