Credible EC will be formed to create level playing field: Razzaque

Agriculture Minister Md Abdur Razzaque on Sunday said a creditable Election Commission (EC) will be formed and it will ensure a level playing field for all during the polls.
The Minister said, “Everyone will have confidence in Election Commission (EC) and it will create a level playing field for all.
Abdur Razzaque was speaking at a seminar at Shahid Smriti Municipal Park in Tangail as the chief guest, a press release said.
The event was organized by the district administration, district social service office and voluntary organizations on the occasion of National Social Service Day.
During the election, the EC will control everything including the army, law enforcement agencies and administration, he said, adding that the EC will make necessary arrangements for holding free, fair and impartial elections in the country independently and neutrally. “Therefore, if any party does not participate in the elections, it is their responsibility,” he added.
He urged all concerned to apply suitable laws to prevent irregularities and corruption in providing government allowances to people, including elderly persons, widows, disabled and other backward ones, of the country if needed.
