Health Minister Zahid Maleque has said that those who are not administered COVID-19 vaccine, would not be allowed to take foods in restaurants.
He said:"Unvaccinated people won’t be allowed to take food in restaurants. Only those who’ve received vaccines can enter restaurants showing their vaccine certificates."
The minister came up with the disclouser while talking to the reporters at the Secretariat.
Although the government is not thinking about enforcing any lockdown in the country to control the fresh Covid surge, it is going to intensify the preventive measures to rein in the transmission of the deadly virus, added the minister.
The Minister warned that the restaurants will be fined if they defy this rule. He said the Cabinet Division will issue a directive in this regard within 15 days.
Replying to a question, he said the Covid situation in the country has not yet reached such a stage that lockdown should be enforced. “We’re not thinking about a lockdown at this moment.”
The minister said they will focus on cent percent masking to prevent the spike in Covid cases. “All must wear masks everywhere. Those who will flout the rule will be fined.”
