Bangabazar Market fire: Dreams burn to ashes in front of eyes

The fire has been burning in Bangabazar Market of the capital since morning, but the fire service has not been able to bring it under control. The fire is spreading to a few buildings including the nearby Anexco Market.
All the new clothes bought on the occasion of the upcoming Eid are being burnt to ashes due to this intense fire. Seeing the traders burning all their clothes in front of their eyes, no one is able to keep himself. Some of the traders are shouting, some are trying to go inside.
In the fire, not only the clothes are burning, many businessmen said that their capital money is also burning. Many could not find the money saved to buy Eid goods.
Siddique, a cloth merchant of Bangabazar, said, "Everything is burning, our dreams and future are ending before our eyes, we can't do anything."
Another businessman named Akand said, "I had a godown on the fifth floor of Barisal Plaza, everything is burning down, I can't do anything."
Bangabazar-Gulisthan area has become heavy with the tears of hundreds of traders like Siddique or Akand.
According to fire service sources, they have been trying to control the fire since the fire was reported at 6:10 in the morning. Army, Air Force and Navy have joined with them.
