Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury passes away at 81

The founder of Gonoshasthaya Kendra and trustee Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury has passed away at the age of 81.
He breathed his last on Tuesday, April 11 at around 11:30 pm while undergoing treatment at Gonoshasthaya Nagar Hospital in Dhanmondi of the capital.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's personal physician Dr ABM Abdullah confirmed the death of Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury.
Dr Zafrullah was admitted to Gonoshasthaya Nagar Hospital on April 3.
Later, when the condition worsened, he was taken on life support around 10:30 am on Tuesday.
Earlier in the day, a high-level medical board was constituted with expert doctors for his better treatment.
Dr Zafrullah suffered from kidney complications for many years. A few days ago his aging complications took a turn for the worse.
