4 of a family killed in Cumilla road crash

Four members of a family were killed and another was injured in a road accident at Laksham upazila in Cumilla district on Thursday morning.
The deceased were identified as Bahar Miah (55), his wife Parul Begum (45), daughter Jannatul Mawa (1) and mother-in-law Golam Nahar (60) of Parti village in Lalmai upazila.
Maksud Ahmed, inspector of Laksham Highway Police Outpost, said the accident took place as a Noakhali-bound BRTC bus collided with a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Laksham of Cumilla at 7:00am, leaving two people dead on the spot.
Three injured were admitted to Cumilla Medical College Hospital where two were declared dead later, he added.
