Several places across Bangladesh are likely to continue seeing rainfall for the next two days and the weather may become cooler as a result, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecast.

Light rain or drizzle is likely to occur at a few places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Khulna and Dhaka divisions, and at one or two places in Barisal, Mymensingh, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions, the BMD said in its 9am weather bulletin on Wednesday.

Daytime temperatures may fall by 1-2°C in the next 24 hours while temperatures at night may drop in the next five days.

Besides, light to moderate fog may occur at places throughout the country from midnight to morning, added the BMD.

The lowest temperature in the country on Wednesday was recorded at 11.9°C in Tetulia of Panchagarh.
