Cabinet okays draft law for formation of EC

The government has approved draft law for formation of Election Commission (EC).
The approval came from the regular cabinet meeting on Monday with the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.
It has been said in the draft law that the appointment of a CEC and a commissioner will be made through a search committee.
After the meeting, Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam was talking to reporters regarding the development of the meeting.
