BNP has issued a note of warning saying that the government will have to bear all the responsivity if the party’s chief Khaleda Zia faces any bad fate.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said: “The people will not spare the government if any damage is done to Khaleda Zia due to the lack of advanced treatment abroad.”
“The government and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina should take necessary steps for the BNP Chairperson’s treatment overseas.”
The BNP spokesperson came up with the remarks while addressing a protest rally on Thursday.
As part of its countrywide programme, BNP arranged the rally in front of its Nayapaltan headquartes, demanding Khaleda’s treatment abroad.
"The government can send her [Khaleda] abroad for treatment as per section 401. However, the authorities said that they can't let our leader go abroad due to a legal barrier,” said Fakhrul placing a question: “Why’re you lying?”
“If Begum Khaleda Zia is not treated properly, the people of this country will never spare you, and you have to bear all the responsibilities,” the BNP leader added.
