We have no interest about EC: Fakhrul

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Saturday said their party has no interest about the new Election Commission (EC).
He made the remarks in an immediate response to a notification issued on Saturday (February 28th) afternoon appointing a new Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) and four other commissioners.

Mirza Fakhrul told Dhakaprokash, "We have said before that we are still saying clearly, not just the Election Commission, whatever the Awami League will do with its own people."

"So this election commission and the election commissioner are not meaningful to us, so we have no interest in the election commission," he added.
