BNP spreading falsehood about price hike of commodities: Hanif

Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif on Sunday said BNP is spreading misleading and provocative information about the price hike essential commodities to reap political benefits.
"BNP is giving provocative and confusing statements about the prices of commodities only to reap make political benefits. It is BNP's habit to criticize the government for everything," said Hanif while talking to journalists before joining a meeting of party`s leaders of Chattogram division and Cumilla South Zilla Awami League at the AL`s Bangabandhu Avenue central office.
"The government remains alert so that none can manipulate prices of essential commodities, he said, adding that prices of commodities are on upward trend due mainly to price hike in the international market.
He said the government will not allow anyone to manipulate prices of essential commodities.
BNP is trying to create anarchy ahead of national elections as it has already realized that people would not give it votes, he said.
