Obaidul Quader sees the ghost of BNP in everything as the party appeared to be an unpleasant dream to him, says BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.
“He always talk about BNP even though he himself doesn’t believe in BNP’s existence. He regularly makes negative remarks on our party out of his fear,” said the BNP spokesperson.
Speaking at a rally, he alleged that the government is “conspiring” to put Bangladesh’s existence at stake with its efforts to kill Khaleda Zia by depriving her from getting better treatment.
“Free our leader so that she can go abroad for treatment and return home after recovery. Or else, you won’t even find the escape route and you must stand in people’s court.” he added.
Mirza Fakhrul called upon the leaders and activists of Sramik Dal to become more active and motivate their fellow workers to be vocal to establish their rights.
Jatiyatabadi Sramik Dal arranged the programme on Sunday in front of the Jatiya Press Club, demanding BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia’s treatment abroad.
Khaleda, a 76-year-old former prime minister, has been receiving treatment at Evercare Hospital for various health complications since November 13.
The BNP chief’s medical board members on November 28 said she immediately needs to go abroad for better treatment as she was diagnosed with liver cirrhosis.
