A writ petition has been filed seeking High Court’s directive on the government to allow BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia to go abroad for better treatment.
Supreme Court lawyer Md Eunus Ali Akond filed the writ petition today as a public interest litigation to the office concerned of the HC.
In the petition, he said that there is no legal bar to allow Khaleda Zia to go abroad for treatment on humane ground under section 401 (1) of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC).
The petition will be placed before the HC tomorrow for its hearing.
