Rizvi-Anny-Shimul Biswas arrested from Naya Paltan

Main opposition BNP's Senior Joint General Secretary Ruhul Kabir Rizvi was arrested by the police from its Naya Palton office.
Besides, police detained publicity secretary Shahiduddin Chowdhury Anny, Swecchasebak Dal's former general secretary Abdul Kadir Bhuiyan and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia's Personal Assistant Shimul Biswas.
Amanullah Aman, Khairul Kabir Khokon and Abdus Salam were arrested around 6 pm.
Earlier, police lobbed teargas shells and sound grenades to disperse the BNP leaders and workers who were assembled in front of the party office since early Wenesday morning.
The entire Nayapaltan and its adjoining areas turned into a battleground.
