Mahiya Mahi meets with Obaidul Quader

Actress Mahia Mahi, who is hoping to be nominated for boat came to the Awami League president's political office in Dhanmondi and met with party's General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Thursday afternoon.
Awami League organizing secretary BM Mozammel Haque and former BCL leaders were present at the time. Mahi was accompanied by her husband Rakib Sarkar.
Earlier, after collecting the nomination form from the political office of the Awami League president in Dhanmondi, she told reporters that if she gets the Awami League ticket, she will win by at least 50,000 votes.
Actor Mahiya Mahi's hometown is in the Chapainawabganj area. Recently, she began campaigning in the town, ahead of buying the nomination form for the election.
Chapainawabganj-2 (Bholahat-Gomostapur-Nachole) seat fell vacant as a result of the BNP MP's resignation from parliament. The by-polls will be held in that seat on February 1.
