Mirza Fakhrul, Abbas released from jail

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and Standing Committee member Mirza Abbas have been released from prison. They were released at 5.50pm on Monday (January 9) after bail papers arrived at the jail.
Jailer of Dhaka Central Jail Mahbubul Islam confirmed this information to the media.
Earlier, the DB police arrested them from their home late on December 8 in the case of the clash of BNP leaders and activists with the police in Nayapaltan of the capital on December 7.
