BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that the next elections must be held under a non-partisan caretaker government and the current parliament must be dissolved. There will be no benefit in traveling abroad. Government's time is over.
The BNP leader came up with these in the speech of the chief guest at a rally in the capital on Friday afternoon.
The pre-announced rally was held at the capital's Shyamoli ground demanding the implementation of 10 points including contempt of the court and the government under the direction of the high court, arbitrary arrests in absentee cases, false cases and police harassment, increased in commodity prices, load shedding, corruption of the Awami government.
Mirza Fakhrul said to government officials and law enforcement agencies that this government has lost credibility everywhere at home and abroad. So you should not act in such a way that you will be identified while obeying the instructions of the illegal government.
He said, Corona can be prevented, Mokha can be prevented but the turbulent flow of people cannot be prevented. There is no alternative to war to bring back the spirit of the libaration war and make the country free and people's voter rights. Let's take that oath and take the common people of the country together and build a stormy movement in unity.
The Secretary General of BNP said that the people of the country are not well today. Increase in the price of daily commodities, there is no electricity and gas in the houses, mothers and sisters cannot cook, there is no water either. The price of everything is constantly increasing.
He said, journalists cannot even write properly now. They have been silenced by the Digital Security Act. This government has destroyed education and health. Common people and businessmen have become destitute to pay taxes.
Mirza Fakhrul said, the time of this government is over. No matter how much they shout, travel abroad. Their time is up.
