Bangladesh National Cricket Team's pacer Al-Amin Hossain today has received bail from a court in Dhaka in a case filed by his wife over family violence after surrendering before the court.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shafi Uddin granted him bail till October 6 after the bail hearing was completed.
Ishrat Jahan, wife of the national team pacer (pace-bowler), filed a complaint in Mirpur Model Thana on August 1 alleging that Al-Amin tortured and physically abused her for dowry. Also, the victim was forcefully driven out of her house with her minor kids, the complaint said.
After primary investigation and verification police registered the complaint as a case of domestic violence the next day.
On September 6, Al-Amin was granted an eight-week anticipatory bail by the High Court.
The next day, the victim filed another case against the sportsperson seeking maintenance of her and children. A warrant was issued against him asking him to be present before the court the same day.
