Bangladesh U-17 women's football team's head coach Golam Robbani Choton is optimistic about his team's qualification in the AFC U-17 Women's Asian Cup Indonesia 2024 (tm) (qualifiers).

Addressing a press conference held today (Sunday) at the conference room of the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF), Choton said they want to qualify for this tournament.

He said they have experience of playing in the U-20 tournament with Turkmenistan but not at the U-17 level. The head coach was also hopeful about winning against Singapore, the host team of the tournament.

The AFC U-17 Women's Asian Cup Indonesia 2024(tm) (qualifiers) will be held from April 26-30 at Jahan Besar Stadium, Kallang, Singapore, reports BSS.

Bangladesh, which was pitted in Group D of the AFC U-17 Qualifiers along with Turkmenistan and Singapore, will play their first match against Turkmenistan on April 26 and meet Singapore on April 30.

The Bangladesh team is expected to leave here for Singapore on April 23.

Bangladesh team's captain Ruma Akhtar, who was present at the press conference, said they have made good preparation in the practice and are upbeat to give their best in the tournament.

BFF and AFC member and committee for women football's chairman Mahfuza Akter Kiron, team;s sonsor Dhaka Bank Limited's deputy managing director Sheikh Abdul Bakir, BFF's technical director Paul Thomas Smalley, team's manager Amirul Islam Babu, team's assistant coach Mahmuda Akterand team's vice captain Joynob Bibi Rita were also present in the press conference.

Bangladesh U-17 team - Jui Akter, Mahlathui Marma, Songgita Rani Das, Arpita Biswas Arpita, Kanom Akter, Ananna Murmu Bithi, Mst Joynob Bibi Rita (vice captain), Mst Ruma Akter (captain), Nadia Akter Juti, Ritu Akter, Kanon Rani Bahadur, Arifa Akter, Most Munki Akhter, Mst Oeyshi Khatun, Munne, Nusrat Jahan Mitu, Puja Das, Mst Sagorika, Mst Sultana Akter, Sauravi Akanda Prity, Sree Moti Trishna Rani, Thuinuye Marma and Umehla Marma.
