Bangladesh make big cut in ICC ODI

Bangladesh made a big cut in the ICC Men’s ODI Team of the Year 2021.

All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, wicketkeeper-batter Mushfiqur Rahim and left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman got a place in the team as the International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the best ODI players' team for the year 2021 on Thursday.

Earlier, the apex body of cricket had also announced the ICC Best Men's T20 team, in which Mustafizur Rahman got a place.

The ICC has also appointed Pakistan captain Babar Azam as the skipper of the ODI team. Babar has also been chosen as the captain of the ICC Best Men's T20 team.

Bangladesh's highest three players have been included in the best ODI team. At the same time, two players each from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Ireland and South Africa have been successful in making it to the team.

Apart from India, no player from defending champion England, T20 champion Australia, Test champion New Zealand and West Indies have also been included.
