Shakib, Fizz in IPL auction’s elite category

Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman have registered themselves in the category of highest base price, worth 2 crore indian rupees, for the upcoming auction of IPL 2022.
The two-day mega auction, scheduled during February 12-13 at Bangalore, will see 10 teams bidding for some of the finest talents in world cricket.
A total of 1214 cricketers were enlisted for the event, where as many as nine cricketers from Bangladesh have registered for the auction among 318 foreign players alongside 896 Indian cricketers. However, the final list will be announced two days ahead of the auction.
Bangladesh's ace performers Shakib and Mustafizur have featured in the IPL on a regular basis. In the previous edition of the franchise tournament, Kolkata Night Riders romped in the premier all-rounder by 3 crores 20 lac rupees while Mustafizur signed for the Rajasthan Royals for 1 crore rupees.
Alongside Shakib and Mustafizur, the category of 2 crore rupees base price is star-studded with the likes of Mujib Ur Rahman, Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, David Warner, Jason Roy, Trent Boult, Quinton de Kock, Faf Du Plessis, Kagiso Rabada and Dwayne Bravo among others.
From the Associate nations, Bhutan, Namibia and the United States have also registered in this year's mega auction, where 15 cricketers involve Nepal. Australia have registered the highest number (59) of players, followed by South Africa (48) and West Indies (41).
