Primary schools across cuntry will reopen on March 1, says the Primary and Mass Education Ministry.
“In-person classes will be started from the day. An official announcement will be made on Sunday,” the ministry’s Public Relations Officer Mahbub Rahman Tuhin said on Friday.
On Thursday, Education Minister Dipu Moni announced that all educational institutions, except primary schools, would be able to resume in-person classes for fully vaccinated students from February 22.
The announcement came following the directive of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and recommendation of the National Technical Advisory Committee on Covid-19 the previous day.
Classes must be conducted under strict compliance with Covid-19 school health and safety protocols, and that there will be no compromise in this regard, said Dipu Moni.
